Grandma Margie thought this would be a great hike for the kids - she was remembering another hike...but it was still a beautiful place (even though we didn't make it to the top), and we had a great time. Trevor was a trooper and hiked quite a bit, and then got rides the rest of the way. Part way through he announced "I'm done on the mountain". Hmmm...well, we kind of have to keep going. Kyle chilled in the backpack. We've decided we want to do more hiking, that's for sure! The Pacific NW is too beautiful. (we were bummed our camera took washed out pics on some of these, I think the sun was in the background too much or something).
(And we won't mention the part where Kyle took about an 8 ft. tumble down the mountain in the backpack, to be rescued by dad. Yikes. He's fine, other than a few scratches and a couple of worried parents.)
